Necessity	Largely related to the growth of plants in the soil are the soil layers and organic layers that exist at the top. Among organic matter, the humification produced by the decomposition of animal and plant organisms into microorganisms are important. (In general forest areas, optimal humus is 3 to 5 percent, but soil in Korea is 1 percent less humus.)
